The management and staff of ETHICORE joins the South African Government, political parties and other sectors of South African society, in extending our heartfelt condolences to the Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi and the Buthelezi family, on the passing of their son, Prince Phumaphesheya Gregory Buthelezi. We wish the family strength during this period of mourning and bereavement. It has been reported that Phumaphesheya died on Wednesday, 20 June 2012, at Durban King George hospital, at the age of 49.
The funeral was held earlier today, Friday 22 June 2012 at 10:00 at Prince Buthelezi’s Mahlabathini residence, “KwaPhindangene”.
Mr. Buthelezi senior is a serving Member of Parliament and the Leader and President of the Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP), in the Parliament of the Republic of South Africa. He is a former Minister of Home Affairs and was the first to hold the post in a democratic South Africa, following the historic 1994 democratic elections.
